Join us on January 28th from 11am – 3:30pm for our annual croft allocations, a community lunch and some wassailing around our community orchard.
Whether you already know which area you want to grow in or have never visited the croft, this event is intended for ALL crofters to attend and participate – as really successful allocations require the whole community to share their ideas, knowledge and to support one another in ensuring we create a fruitful environment for everyone over 2018.
We will also be discussing opportunities for those who don’t wish to have their own space but would still like to be involved in the various projects we have in development with the Pavillion, Market Garden and Hingabootery cafe.
As we will be outside for most of the day (though there will be a warm fire/ rain sheltering pavilions up) please dress appropriately for the Scottish weather!
We would like you to arrange for someone in your area to speak for 30 seconds about how you plan to grow on the Croft over 2018 to help new crofters decided which space works for them.
Community Lunch & Wassail
We’d like to make allocations a convivial social occassion so will have a community lunch and some wassailing to finish – so please bring your mugs, spoons, bowls & spare pieces of toast along!
Want to be a Crofter but not signed up yet?
Don’t worry! If you want to grow with us in 2018 there are still a few more spots available and you can sign up for membership here –bit.ly/Croftwithus2018. Or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We really hope that everyone will be able to get involved in the process and look forward sharing a really exciting year on the croft with you all!
See you on the 28th,
The Leith Community Crops in Pots team.
