CCF-2708 Leith Community Food Project

We used food-growing activities at Leith Primary School, Stanwell Nursery and Dr Bell’s Family Centre to engage children, their parents/carers and the wider community, and to educate and encourage the people of Leith to reduce their carbon footprint.

CCF-3914 Leith Schools Project

This was the second Climate Challenge Fund project undertaken by Leith Community Crops in Pots. It built on and complemented the work already being done by the organisation in the Leith Community Food Project (CCF-2708).

This project extended our work into three new schools and established a new program of community food education. The focus in the schools was the development of growing spaces and gardening clubs at Leith Academy, St. Mary’s Primary School and Hermitage Park Primary School. The community education program was centred on our community garden: Leith Community Croft.
